Tough Work

Alexander certainly has been working hard at growing. He hit the 8 month marker at the end of last week and just had to rest for a bit. I was in the kitchen washing bottles and all the sudden things got a little quiet. I peeked around the corner into the living room and oh what a sight I did see...

Christmas Eve

Good thing I have a snow day from school today so I can finally post more Christmas pictures! I guess in my own crazy way I thought that I was extending the holiday season by not putting the pictures up. Since we spent most of the weekend taking down our decorations I guess it is time to get over the fact that the holidays have passed and it is time to move beyond all things Christmas. Christmas Eve we were in Attleboro MA with the extended Swanson family. This was the "on-year" so there were 65 adults and youngsters in attendance. It was a great night and Alexander did well meeting so many new people. Take an extra close look at the guy in red, he might look strangely familiar!

Tree Shopping

This year was Alexander and Eric's first real Christmas tree! We had a great time going to the farm, walking around picking one out and loading it on the car to bring home. Alexander fell asleep in the car so we put him to bed while we brought the tree in and decorated it. When he came downstairs he was so excited to look at all the lights and decorations. It was great to have and the house smelled wonderful for weeks. We hope to go to the same farm next year and try cutting down our own!

Cocoa Party

Sorry for the delay in posting, my camera and Picasa were not getting along very well. All is well now and we can get back to sharing. We kicked off the holiday season by attending the annual church cocoa party. It is an event that I attended as a child and it was so wonderful for us to go with Alexander, my parents, Greg, Laura and Daniel. I helped with the decorating as a member of the Children's Education Ministry Team. This year the theme was bells and Alexander received a beautiful ornament to hang on the tree!
